This is my most recent addition to my quilt collection. I chose this Quiltworx pattern called Red River Star and chose to recolor it in Quiltster, my app that allows me to recolor and determine yardage amounts and cutting instructions.
This quilt finished off at 99×99 inches. Because I finished it during the stay-at-home time during CoVid19, I needed to be creative in piecing the yardages remaining from my stash to get a large enough backing in order to send it to my quilter. I worked with my quilter Teresa Koster at T Kos Long ArmQuilting to come up with a quilting design that would tie in with our Twisting Roots Farm. Teresa had several wonderful ideas, carrying out quilting designs to relate to picket fence, wine branches, and such.
I am in the process of adding a sleeve for hanging and binding (in the black) so that I can mount it in our family room, here at the farm.
